Marina is a Toronto-based visual artist whose creativity was nurtured from childhood, influenced by her mother and inspired by nature and imagination. After moving from the Soviet Union to Canada, she has focused on becoming a teacher, making an impact in children's lives and educational pathway. Marina explores mixed media, drawing, painting, upcycled materials and sculpture techniques to create a wide range of artistic productions for pleasure, educational purposes and private art sales. Attaining a BFA with Honours in Visual Arts at York University, private lessons with Artists, followed by certification at Tyndale University to become an Ontario Certified Teacher and a member of good standing as OCT. Marina’s passion for life and art can be seen in her artistic creations and versatility with abstraction, surrealism, realism, animation, landscapes, animals and crafting. She sees art as both a personal journal and a way to inspire awareness, imagination, and connection in others.
Marina has also dedicated her life to her family, exploring her artistic visions and teaching. With over 15 years of experience teaching in private schools and more than 25 years of providing private art lessons to learners of all ages, she has inspired countless students through her creativity, compassion, and expertise. Specializing in the fine arts, Marina combines the Ontario Curriculum with hands-on exploration, encouraging students to experiment with diverse tools, materials, and techniques. Her love for using recycled and found objects highlights her belief that true art comes from the heart and mind. Beyond the classroom, Marina fosters community connection by guiding students in volunteer art projects that touch the lives of many, from local shelters to hospitals. Through her nurturing approach and imaginative teaching, Marina continues to open doors for students to discover their own artistic voice.
